Annotated Czech Translation of Selected Chapters from " Montessori-Pädagogik: Einführung in Theorie und Praxis"; Michael Klein-Landeck, Tanja Pütz, Herder, 2011.

(in English) This enclosed thesis contains two parts. The first part includes a translation of selected chapters from the book Montessori-Pädagogik. Einführung in Theorie und Praxis written by Michael Klein-Landeck and Tanja Pütz. This publication aims to provide a rough overview of Montessori pedagogy. It introduces also world famous teacher Maria Montessori and her point of view on a child. This book expresses the importance of education and readiness of teachers and environment. Moreover, it focuses on an application of Montessori pedagogy in the praxis. The aim of this translation is to create a functional equivalent text. The second part contains the translation analysis based on the model of Christiane Nord and a theoretical commentary for selected chapters. Furthermore, it presents translation methods and procedures, translational issues and finally, it includes also translation shifts according to models of Jiří Levý and Anton Popovič with corresponding examples.
